OpenCongress is a free, nonpartisan platform that makes legislative data accessible to everyone, across the U.S. Congress, the French Parliament, and the New York City Council, with the European Union next.
Public institutions produce public data, but it's buried in interfaces that weren't designed for regular people. OpenCongress brings votes, bills, members, and committees into one clear, searchable place, and adds an AI assistant that answers questions grounded in the live legislative record.
It's built and maintained by Pierre Pariente Dimitrov, a product designer and engineer. He is French, lives in New York, and built OpenCongress to make the legislative record easy to follow wherever you live.
OpenCongress is independent and self-funded: no venture capital, no political affiliations, no ads. Just one person trying to make civic information work better for everyone.
